Figured I'd keep this "reinvision of my childhood" theme going.

I was a TMNT nut as a kid, loved those guys. Looking back, everything about that show was ridiculous, ya know? Some of the other shows still sort of hold up, like Transformers, an alien race of sentient machines crash land on earth and assume the shapes of vehicles to stay hidden. A little fantastic, but at least it makes a little sense.

G.I. Joe still holds up, too, it's a military special forces unit that battles a well funded terrorist army. Makes perfect sense.

TMNT was a group of humanoid mutant turtles that were taught ninjitsu by an aging rat and who were constantly chased by a clan of robot ninjas led by a lunatic in a samurai helmet with knives all over his body... Completely ridiculous.

Anyways, I figured I'd make up my own alternate universe within the Turtles fiction in which it's now-a-days and they are the "Twenty-something Mutant Ninja Turtles", hey, at least the abbreviation still works. They have broken up and all followed their own whims after the death of Splinter.

Here be Leonardo, my favorite of the turtles (It was the blue color and dual katanas that did it for me). Who, like in the newer CG movie, has gone off to perfect his skill in martial arts. My version, though, has gone through samurai training and become sort of the ultimate mutant swordsman. Dig the cool samurai pants.
